It has long been our ambition to own our own kennels.  We currently lease the kennels we use, paying the kennel owners for the facilities and overnight cover.  This does not give us the long term security that owning kennels would. 

Why do we need our own kennels ?

• To provide purpose-built kennels designed specifically with rescue dogs in mind.
• To enable Society staff to provide the 24 hour cover required, giving greater continuity of care as well as saving us money.
• To allow us to expand the services that we provide to boost our income further.
• To secure the long-term future of the Society and its commitment to the care of dogs. .

The campaign was launched in 2002 with the aim of raising £300.000 to be used towards the purchase of kennels. The campaign closed on 31 December 2008 and raised approximately  £250,000. Whilst still short of the target, the amount raised is indeed impressive and is due to the generosity of you, our supporters, to whom we say a big THANK YOU. All monies donated to date will remain in the fund, designated for the future purchase of our own kennels. Any further specific donations received for the campaign, along with Gift Aid and bank interest, will be added to this figure. The proceeds of the Annual Grand Prize Draw will also be added to this fund.

When the Society receives legacies, where possible, these monies will be set aside to add to the Campaign money to help achieve our ultimate goal of owning our own premises.
